biography

At the ripe age of four years old Nayan grabbed ahold of her first golf club, from that point on there was no going back. 2 years later she would go on to be the youngest and first ever female player to compete on the Junior Linkster Tour created by Harry White disciple of Moe Norman.

Throughout her ten year junior career, she worked with Jennifer Wyatt (LPGA Member) and Vancouver's Harry White. During her competitive junior career she went on to win over a hundred awards and placed top ten at The Callaway Junior World Golf Championship three years in a row. She received Player of The Year Awards on a yearly basis which inspired more hard work and dedication. At the age of twelve she was awarded a merit based scholarship through The British Columbia Golf Association. All of this amounted to her earning a spot on Team Canada from 2003-2008. During the course of her competitive years as a junior she had 7 holes in one and was featured on television as well as in local newspapers as the young female golfer to watch.

After over a decade of competing she decided to take a break from the sport to focus on growing herself as a young professional and went on to work in 4 different countries. At the age of 19 she studied Yoga at Swami Sivananda's Vedanta Centre on Paradise Island, Bahamas. During her seven months at the centre, she studied the mind-body connection and proceeded to get her certification as a Hatha Yoga Instructor.

2019 was a pivotal year for Nayan as she made the decision to dust her set of clubs off and give her lifelong dream of being Canada’s greatest golfer another try. She worked tirelessly to get her legendary swing back and rededicate her life to competitive golf.

In the three years since she turned  pro, Nayan has achieved her first professional win, she received conditional status on the Epson Tour for 2022 and has continued to hone her skills that will eventually take her to the LPGA. In June of 2022 Nayan came 2nd in the BC Women's Open posting a -1 finish after the two day event.

Nayan is currently training with PGA Tour coach Rob Rashell and continues to dedicate her time and energy to making it onto the LPGA.
